Server log files

When you access the website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system details, and the previously visited page (referrer). This processing serves to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes.

Content delivery network (Cloudflare)

The website is delivered via the Cloudflare network, which caches content and protects against attacks. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as the IP address. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco (USA). Data may be transferred to the USA; this takes place on the basis of the provider's data protection commitments. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Anonymous visitor statistics

For anonymous visitor statistics we use our own counting script without cookies. When a page is opened, it sends to our own server: the page viewed, the time spent on it, how far it was scrolled, and clicks on internal links and partner links. IP addresses are not stored; to tell visits apart, a check value that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you is used. The data is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

We do not set any analytics or marketing cookies ourselves. Technically necessary cookies from the content delivery network are possible. Details are in our cookie policy.

Partner links

If you click a partner link labeled as an advertisement, you are redirected via our server to the partner's offer. The partner or an intermediate redirect service may collect its own data, for example to attribute the visit to an affiliate program. The respective provider is responsible for this processing, and its privacy notices apply.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process your details solely to handle your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact the email address given above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI).
